The participating researchers may suggest members of their own research groups or from groups working on GRK-related topics to join GRK 2504. Doctoral researchers in natural sciences and medicine, early postdocs, and clinicians are can apply and present themselves in the annual recruitment colloquia in autumn. Selection criteria are complementarity to the research programme, excellence of the project, qualification and motivation of the applicant. The number of additional members to be admitted is determined annually based on the variable number of doctoral researchers in medicine and clinician scientists fully participating in the qualification programme (up to a total of 30 GRK 2504 training members). Associated members are funded from other sources, but get access to travel grants, the course programme and selected activities of the training programme.
